"I'm Unemployable" was written a while back - the late 70's, and surprise, surprise, it is yet another song about... me. I wish it weren't so! Let it be someone else! I actually did at one time deliver junk mail. Now there's a job. And I drove a Yellow Cab for 6 months, 7 days a week doing 12 hour shifts. Can that possibly be true? I can hardly believe it! Must've been 6 days a week, it had to've been. But it sure did seem non-stop. Not that 6 days at 12 hours isn't bad enough. Man, I'm tellin' you, if I weren't self-employed I'd be out of luck and out on the street, probably with my guitar case open. Come to think of it, I've done that, too. |
